Data Picnest Accesses or Collects

Picnest may access image media on your device to discover screenshot-like images. The app stores notes, review state, processing state, and references to existing screenshot media locally on your device. Picnest does not copy screenshot files into its own storage.

If you sign in, Picnest uses Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication to identify your account. If you subscribe or make purchases, Picnest uses RevenueCat and Google Play Billing to manage entitlements and subscription status.

If you enable AI processing with explicit consent, Picnest may send screenshot images, visible screenshot text, extracted note candidates, saved note text, and related metadata needed to create and improve your notes.

How Data Is Used

Picnest uses data to scan and queue screenshots, extract notes, enrich saved notes, maintain review and processing state, manage sign-in, enforce usage quotas, provide subscription features, and diagnose processing failures.

Picnest does not use screenshot images, screenshot text, notes, or metadata for advertising, resale, training Picnest-owned models, or unrelated purposes.

Third-Party Services

Picnest may use these services to provide app functionality:

AI Processing Consent

Screenshots may contain sensitive information, including banking details, health information, messages, passwords, personal photos, receipts, IDs, and other personal data. Picnest will not send screenshot images or visible screenshot text to third-party AI until you explicitly consent in the app.

You can withhold or withdraw AI processing consent in Picnest settings. Without consent, screenshots may be discovered and queued locally, but screenshot images are not sent to third-party AI.

Data Sharing

Picnest shares data only as needed to provide the app functionality described in this policy. This may include account, purchase, quota, and AI processing data sent to the third-party services listed above. Picnest does not sell your personal data.

Security

Picnest uses secure transport for network requests where applicable. Local notes and processing records are stored on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but Picnest limits data use to app functionality and user-consented purposes.

Retention and Deletion

Local notes, review records, processing records, and screenshot references remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Subscription and account-related records may be retained by Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, and Picnest backend systems as needed to provide subscriptions, enforce quotas, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

You can request deletion of account-related Picnest data by following the instructions on the Account Deletion page.

Children

Picnest is not directed to children under 13. Do not use Picnest if you are under 13.

Changes

Picnest may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
